Arm lift

Age, heredity and fluctuating weight can cause arms to sag and arm skin to droop. This condition cannot be improved with exercise.

Also called brachioplasty, an arm lift is a procedure to reduce sagging skin on the arms while tightening the underlying tissue. During the procedure, excess skin is removed along with excess fat; in some cases, this involves liposuction. Incisions are hidden on the inside or back of the arm. Internal stitches are used to tighten tissue under the skin. Results are long-lasting, but arms will continue to change as you age or as your weight changes.

You might need to wear elastic bandages during your recovery to reduce swelling. You will also need to limit physical activity immediately following your procedure.
